On February 22, 2024, Bon Secours Hospital proudly hosted its second annual Richmond Market Physician and Advanced Practice Clinician Awards, where our very own Dr. Patel was recognized for her work. This event was a heartfelt tribute to the many dedicated providers within the Richmond healthcare system and a testament to their willingness to go above and beyond the call to serve.
This inaugural peer-to-peer survey recognizes Virginia doctors who demonstrate excellence in their fields across 60 different medical specialties. The event highlights how those who provide care at Bon Secours are truly living out the hospital's mission to provide good help to those in need.
Nominations were provided via peers across the community to recognize outstanding contributions within various categories.

- and the Sister Elizabeth Durney Award.
Additionally, peers had the opportunity to nominate individuals for the titles of APC of the Year and Physician of the Year. The celebration recognized 34 incredible providers from across the market, each embodying the dedication and excellence Bon Secours strives to provide.
Our very own Dr. Ushita Patel, DPM, was nominated for this year's APC Award, which honors advanced practice clinicians who work tirelessly to improve the health within our communities. Dr. Patel was also nominated for the 2024 Bon Secours Richmond Market Physician, an award that highlights the best of the best within Richmond's seven hospitals as well as the overall Richmond healthcare market.
